DIRECTIONS TO ELMINGTON HOUSE BED & BREAKFAST - NEWPORT RI

From Boston and Cape Cod

From Cape Cod, take I-195 west into Fall River, follow sign to Newport staying on Route 24 south.
From Boston, take I-93 south to Route 24 south.
Follow Route 24 through Fall River and onto Aquidneck island where it ends and Route 138 begins and is joined by Route 114. At this point you have two choices, Route 114 and Route138. I am including both.

Take exit for Route 138 south / Newport Beaches. Go right at the end of the ramp following the road south. Bear right at the stop light and follow Route 138 south about 12 miles where it joins Route 114 at a T intersection. Turn right at the light and an immediate left at the next light onto Coddington Highway. Follow Coddington Highway around to a traffic circle. (*)

Take Route 114 through Portsmouth into Middletown. When you pass the Middletown Public Library, followed by an open field on your right, take the next right onto Coddington Highway. Follow Coddington Highway around to a traffic circle. (*)

* Turn right at the Traffic circle and proceed to the traffic light (1block). Turn left at the light (this is Third Street but is not marked). If you miss this turn you will find yourself entering the navy base.
Take Third Street until it becomes one way coming towards you and you have to turn right. This turn will be onto Sycamore Street.
Follow Sycamore to its end at the waters edge and turn left (your only option) onto Washington Street, continue 9 blocks. Elmington House will be on your left at the corner of Washington Street and Elm Street, 49 Washington Street.
Turn into the curved drive and park on the brick pull off, with the car front facing the fence with stars cut out of it.
